Arts for the Parks Gold Medal Winner & Calendar

Last year Barry took a horse-packing trip into the Sierras and spent the week painting out in the mountains. One of the paintings he did that week was chosen to as the Gold Medal winner, and was also chosen to be in the 2008 Arts for the Parks calendar. It is also as a print. If you would like to see the other paintings and help to support our parks by purchasing a calendar, please see the Arts for the Parks Blogsite. Beneficiaries are the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and the particular park depicted in the Grand Prize Winner’s artwork. Seventy-five percent of surplus funds will be donated to the NPCA and the balance will be donated to the organization representing the park depicted in the Grand Prize Winner’s artwork. In this way, State and Local parks can benefit from this competition.
